Our Process

Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP)

A Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) is a facility designed to treat faecal sludge collected from onsite sanitation systems like septic tanks and pit latrines. It ensures the safe disposal or reuse of treated sludge, minimizing environmental pollution and protecting public health.

Faecal Sludge Collection & Transport


We provide efficient and hygienic faecal sludge collection services using vacuum trucks and other specialized equipment. Our team ensures timely and safe transportation of sludge to the treatment plant.

Sludge Treatment & Processing


FSTPs are equipped with advanced technologies to treat faecal sludge through processes with Dewatering and Drying being the first step, which reduces moisture content for easier handling and disposal. Followed by Anaerobic Digestion which converts organic matter into biogas, a renewable energy source, generating Compost as the byproduct by transforming sludge into nutrient-rich compost suitable for agricultural use, after ensuring the treated sludge is safe and free from harmful pathogens.

Resource Recovery & Reuse

We focus on turning waste into resources by recovering energy, water, and nutrients from treated faecal sludge. This promotes sustainable practices and supports local agriculture and energy needs.
